Program Aides
Becoming a PA at Mountaindale North
The Mountaindale North Program Aide (PA) leadership program is for girls entering 8th—12th grades who have successfully completed PAIT training either at Mountaindale North, another Girl Scout camp, or through a Girl Scout training.
Please know that our PA positions fill up quickly, and It is possible that we may not be able to accept all applicants.
PAs are accepted into camp based on the following criteria:

PAs who attend camp with a full-time adult volunteer

PAs who serve on the PA Council
-
Date/Time stamp of registration taking into account a balance between brand new PAs and seasoned PAs.

PA Application Process
Prospective PAs must complete the following steps to be considered for a Program Aide position:

Register for camp online (open registration begins March 10)

Complete the application and mail it to the PA Advisor:

Important Dates
Mark your calendars now! Participation is mandatory for each of the following PA events:
NEW For 2025 - PA Academy
During this training session, prospective PAs will review the skills needed to lead at camp and determine the areas in which they want to volunteer.
Prospective PAs are required to attend one session:
Friday, April 4 - 5 pm - 9 pm OR
Saturday, April 5 - 9 am - 1 pm

PA Interviews
Thursday, April 17 - 5 pm – 8 pm
Location: St. Pius X Youth Center

The PA Advisor will send out a Sign-Up Genius for PAs to pick their time slot for their interview.
PA Orientation / Indoor Training
Wednesday, May 21 - 5:30 – 8:30 pm
Location: Oak Hills Recreation Center

Outdoor Training / PA Overnight
Drop Off: Saturday, July 19 - 10 am
Pick Up: Sunday, July 20 - 9 am
Location: Camp Mountaindale
Outdoor training goes from 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday, followed immediately by the PA Sleepover after camp setup is complete. Don't forget to turn in your overnight permission slip!
